SIP/ASHI Joint Symposium
Monday, October 24, 2022
9:00 am - 5:00 pm
On Monday, October 24, ASHI and the Society for Immune Polymorphism are offering a Basic Science Symposium on Genetic and Functional Variation of the Vertebrate Immune System. This symposium will feature immunologists, geneticists and informaticians discussing the evolutionary biology of the vertebrate immune system, the role of immune variation in health and disease, innovations in informatics, and new approaches for immunotherapies.
The Society for Immune Polymorphism is an international association of immunologists, population geneticists, clinicians, and bone marrow registry managers focused on understanding immune gene polymorphism and function, developing methods to model genetic diversity and selection forces, and optimizing transplant matching. A modern synthesis of these disciplines is key for advancing the field of transplantation, and for integrating histocompatibility and immunogenetics with the larger field of genomic research. Please join us in the discussion of these cutting edge and innovative topics. This symposium has limited space, and an additional registration fee.
